Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how SobrTrack (SobrTrack, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile app for iOS and Android. We built SobrTrack to be privacy-first: your recovery data stays on your device, and you do not need an account to use the app.

The short version

  • Your recovery data — the habits you track, quit dates, streaks, notes and your reasons for quitting — is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
  • No account, sign-up, name or email is required to use the app.
  • We use limited third-party analytics and crash-reporting tools to keep the app working and improve it.
  • We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show third-party ads.

Information stored on your device

The core of the app works entirely on your device. The following is stored locally (using on-device databases and preferences) and is never sent to us:

  • The habits you choose to track, their quit dates and categories
  • Your streaks, relapse entries and calendar history
  • Journal notes, your motivations and your personal “why”
  • Optional money-per-day and time-per-day figures used for savings
  • App settings and preferences (such as theme and reminders)

If you enable the optional app lock, it uses your device’s Face ID / Touch ID (biometrics). Biometric data is handled entirely by your operating system and is never accessed by or shared with us. Deleting the app removes this on-device data from your device.

Information processed by third-party services

To operate and improve the app, we rely on the following third-party services. Each processes some data under its own privacy policy:

Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics & Remote Config)

We use Google Firebase to understand how the app is used in aggregate, to diagnose crashes, and to manage app configuration. Firebase may collect usage and event data, crash logs and diagnostics, device and OS information, app version, and identifiers such as a Firebase installation ID and approximate location inferred from your IP address. We use this information only to keep the app stable and to improve it — not to identify you personally. See Firebase’s privacy information and the Google Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat (subscription management)

If you purchase a Premium subscription, we use RevenueCat to manage and validate that subscription. RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user ID, your purchase and subscription history, and device information. It does not receive your payment card details. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store & Google Play (payments)

All payments are processed by Apple or Google, depending on your platform. We never see or store your payment card information. Your purchase is handled under Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies.

Notifications

With your permission, the app can send local reminder notifications (for example, to check in on your streak). These are scheduled on your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

How we use information

  • To provide the core tracking features of the app
  • To keep the app stable and fix crashes and bugs
  • To understand aggregate usage so we can improve the experience
  • To manage Premium subscriptions and restore purchases

We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Data retention

On-device data remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Data processed by the third-party services above is retained according to their respective policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EEA/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Because most of your data lives only on your device, you can exercise much of this directly: edit or reset your data in the app, or uninstall it to remove on-device data. For data held by third-party services, or for any other request, contact us using the details below and we will help.

International data transfers

The third-party services we use (Google and RevenueCat) may process and store data on servers located in the United States and other countries. Where required, these providers rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children’s privacy

SobrTrack is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
